Ninth Annual Lunar New Year Fundraising Dinner

Picture of a Dragon We rang in the Year of the Dragon at this very successful dinner. The dinner featured Kristen Sze from KGO-TV as the Mistress of Ceremonies and noted speakers Jerry Brown (Mayor of Oakland), Henry Chang (Vice Mayor of Oakland), John Loh (President of the Board of Port Commissioners), and Charles Foster (Port Executive Director).

The Oakland High School Lion Dance Group, Watak Sundalo, Legaci, Manila Tae Kwon Do, and Fusion provided entertainment for the evening. Previous AEA scholarship winners Eric Brown (1998) and Alex Rosten (1996) gave an update of their studies and thanks for the scholarships.
